Visual communication is a way for designers to show what they want to express through visual elements. For Yingying Cai, using visual communication to convey social information is what she persists to do.

Due to the period of big data, the dissemination of social information is becoming faster and faster, so that many things cause attention very soon. In her work <Time>, she photographed a lot of writing instruments at different times to raise awareness of the handwriting crisis. Nowadays, more and more people rely on high-tech software to translate words by voice, which leads to the frequent occurrence of character amnesia. The problem is especially acute in languages with many hieroglyphics, such as Chinese characters. She hopes to let people aware that handwriting is as important as the ease of using high-tech software.

In her another work <Unreachable>, she focused on some special allergic people because of her own allergy experience. 

These allergy patients are allergic to hair, but these allergies are often very popular for normal people, such as cute plush toys, delicious peach, warm wool clothing, etc. She visualizes these allergies to make normal people feel these reactions, so as to express the unreachable distance between allergy patients and these beautiful things.

For Yingying, vision is a more powerful way than any other methods to express and highlight some social issues, as well as to remind people of some neglected phenomenon.

視覺(jué)傳達(dá)是一種讓設(shè)計(jì)師通過(guò)視覺(jué)元素把想表達(dá)的信息進(jìn)行傳播的途徑。對(duì)于蔡盈盈來(lái)說(shuō)，她更執(zhí)著于運(yùn)用視覺(jué)傳達(dá)的方式傳遞社會(huì)信息。

由于大數(shù)據(jù)時(shí)代的到來(lái)，社會(huì)信息傳播變的越來(lái)越快捷，也讓很多事情被迅速引起了關(guān)注。在她的作品《時(shí)間》里，她為了引發(fā)人們?nèi)リP(guān)注手寫(xiě)危機(jī)拍攝了不同時(shí)期的書(shū)寫(xiě)工具。現(xiàn)在越來(lái)越多人去依賴(lài)高科技軟件語(yǔ)音翻譯文字導(dǎo)致提筆忘字這一件事情頻頻出現(xiàn)。特別像是漢字這種象形文字偏多的語(yǔ)言這種問(wèn)題更是突出。她希望讓人們意識(shí)到在運(yùn)用方便的高科技軟件的同時(shí)不要忘記手寫(xiě)也是同樣重要的一項(xiàng)能力。

在她另外一個(gè)作品《遙不可及》中，因?yàn)楸旧韺?duì)花粉的過(guò)敏使得她注意到了一些特殊過(guò)敏人群。這些過(guò)敏患者都對(duì)毛有著過(guò)敏癥狀，往往這些過(guò)敏物對(duì)于正常人來(lái)說(shuō)是十分喜愛(ài)的，像可愛(ài)的毛絨玩具，可口的水蜜桃，溫暖的羊毛衣服等。她把這些過(guò)敏物通過(guò)視覺(jué)表達(dá)讓正常人感受到這些過(guò)敏反應(yīng)，從而去表達(dá)過(guò)敏患者對(duì)于這些美好的事物的遙不可及。

對(duì)于蔡盈盈來(lái)說(shuō)視覺(jué)會(huì)比其他表達(dá)方式更加有力突出的去點(diǎn)明一些社會(huì)問(wèn)題，并且能夠通過(guò)作品去提醒人們一些忽視的現(xiàn)象。
