葉之璇是一名當代首飾設計師。她認為首飾是比文字,插畫更高階的輸出觀點的媒介。由于首飾是三維甚至四維的,并且它與人體緊密聯系,所以首飾能傳遞更切身的體會和更深層次的思考。她往往會聚焦到一些與自己相關的不引人注目的社會現象,用批判性的首飾作品來展現自己的立場,希望引起大眾對這個問題的討論和注意。
她的作品《Secret》非常生動且具有批判性,她注意到了現代文學網站上的會因非常荒謬的理由而被屏蔽的敏感詞。她使用了華容道和馬賽克來偽裝這些被屏蔽的詞。她的作品既表達了這個存在于當代社會的怪像,也帶給觀眾一種互動且幽默的視覺語言。她的作品《Negative Empathy》同樣具有批判性。這件作品由她的親身經歷出發,反駁了社會大眾對共情的鼓吹,向大眾強調了共情也會造成傷害。
葉之璇會繼續在首飾設計的道路上前行,致力于用一針見血的視覺語言來表達觀點,向大眾傳達她的思想。
Zhixuan Ye is a contemporary jewellery designer. She believes that jewellery is a higher-level medium of output than words and illustrations. Jewellery is three-dimensional or even four-dimensional and it is closely related to the human body, so jewellery can deliver more personal experience and deep thinking. She often focuses on some social phenomena which are not conspicuous, and she tries to show her standpoint with critical jewellery works, hoping to arouse public discussion and attention on this issue.
Her work <Secret> is very vivid and critical. She noticed that sensitive words on modern literary websites would be shielded for ridiculous reasons. She used Klotski and mosaics to disguise the shielded words. Her works not only express this strange phenomenon existing in contemporary society, but also give the audiences an interactive and humorous visual language. Her work <Negative Empathy> is also socially critical. Based on her own experience, this work refutes the public's advocacy of empathy and emphasizes that empathy can also cause harm.
Zhixuan Ye will continue to move forward on the path of jewellery design and devote herself to express her concept through the incisive visual language and to show her thoughts to the public.
